CRC Group Advances Enterprise Transformation Strategy

August 19, 2026

CRC Group, a leading independent wholesale specialty insurance distributor, has announced an expanded enterprise transformation strategy designed to drive growth and deliver greater value for clients and partners. CRC’s enterprise-wide transformation strategy brings together its people, specialty strengths, scale, data, AI, and technology to advance its most important priorities.

Central to this strategy is the Transformation Management Office (TMO), serving as a catalyst for CRC’s significant transformation initiatives. Matt Spriggs, the former Chief Information Officer, will lead the TMO in the newly created role of Chief Enterprise Transformation Officer, collaborating across CRC’s businesses and functions to enhance strategic alignment and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Jason Dufner has been named Chief Information Officer and will lead CRC's Information Technology organization and the technology capabilities that enable CRC’s businesses and teammates.

"The establishment of our Transformation Management Office reflects our commitment to leading through change and further strengthening CRC for the future," said Dave Obenauer, Chief Executive Officer, CRC Group. "Transformation involves every aspect of our business and builds on our strengths as we find new ways to create greater value for our clients and drive long-term growth.”

This strategy builds on CRC’s established strength in data and analytics, putting those capabilities to work across the enterprise to drive client value, accelerate innovation, and create greater differentiation in the market. CRC is already translating these strengths into tangible outcomes through initiatives such as REDY, its proprietary data and analytics platform; proprietary capital vehicles informed by data-driven insights; the enterprise-wide application of AI; and the continued development of innovative solutions that address evolving business and client needs.

The TMO will play a critical role in bringing these capabilities and investments together across the enterprise to ensure CRC’s collective strengths translate into new opportunities and measurable outcomes for CRC, its clients, and partners.

"Our industry is changing, and we intend to help shape where it goes,” Obenauer said. "CRC has the people, relationships, knowledge, and scale to lead. We intend to stay ahead of change, position CRC to lead in an evolving marketplace, and help define the future of our industry.”
