CRC Group Appoints Chris Grady President of Specialty and Benefits Division

September 14, 2026

CRC Group, a leading independent wholesale specialty insurance distributor, today announced that Chris Grady has been appointed President of the CRC Specialty and Benefits, a newly created role providing leadership across the division as a whole.

In his new leadership role, Grady will report to Neil Kessler, CEO of CRC Specialty and Benefits, and work with the broader Specialty and Benefits leadership team to advance the division's growth strategy, strengthen execution, and foster greater connectivity across CRC's Specialty and Benefits businesses. Grady will also continue to serve as a valued member of the CRC Group Executive Leadership Team.

“We see tremendous opportunity to build on the strength and momentum of CRC Specialty and Benefits,” said Dave Obenauer, Chief Executive Officer of CRC Group. “Chris brings an enterprise-wide perspective, deep knowledge of our business, and a strong record of translating strategy into action. His appointment strengthens an already exceptional leadership team and positions the business well to pursue its next phase of growth.”

Chris is an accomplished industry executive who has played a leading role in transforming CRC Group into the independent, specialty distribution and underwriting business it is today. Most recently, he led Corporate Development and Strategy for CRC Group, where he helped shape and execute strategic initiatives across the enterprise.

“Chris is a trusted partner and proven leader who understands our strategy and the opportunities in front of us,” said Neil Kessler, CEO of CRC Specialty and Benefits. “I’m excited to have him take on a broader role as we continue to grow the business, serve our clients and carrier partners, and build the future of CRC Specialty and Benefits.”
