CRC Group Wins Two Awards at Inside P&C Honors

On Wednesday, September 28,  the Insurance Insider handed out its annual Inside P&C Honors awards.   The awards, judged by a panel of industry experts, recognize achievement in the US wholesale, specialty, and (re)insurance markets. CRC Group received two awards; one for MGA/MGU of the Year and one for M&A Transaction of the Year.

CRC Group’s CEO Dave Obenauer accepted the award on behalf of the company and said, “I’m honored to accept this award on behalf of the 4300 CRC Teammates and particularly our MGA and MGU teams.  This award is an excellent recognition of their hard work, as well as our recent merger with Constellation Affiliated Partners.  We remain excited and focused on helping our clients solve their most challenging risks and insurance needs.”

The Inside P&C Honors Judges said of CRC Group’s MGA/MGU of the Year win:

“We were looking to recognize the work of a managing general agent or managing general underwriter company or team that has demonstrated excellent underwriting performance in the past year.  It was clear that CRC’s level of service, breadth of offering, and the nimbleness with which it provides solutions was the best in class. It particularly stood out for its innovative approach to data and analytics, coupled with its specialized knowledge and diverse portfolio of niche programs. Its recent acquisition of Constellation Affiliated Partners also helped to give CRC Group an edge.”

On presenting their M&A Transaction of the Year Award, the Judges said:

“Judges credited the CRC Group acquisition of Constellation Affiliated Partners as giving CRC significant additional scale in the MGA market to address critical capacity needs. The deal marks a significant expansion of CRC Group, diversifying its offering to clients and enhancing its provision of insurance solutions. The panel viewed the merger as taking an already top-tier MGA business to an even more formidable position.”
