ABOUT ALEK

Alek Turko is a Managing Underwriter and Office President with 5Star Specialty Programs, a division of CRC Group. Alek and his team specialize in providing trucking insurance solutions in the for-hire trucking, leased owner-operator, and public auto spaces. He has been in the insurance business for 20 years, focusing on trucking for the entirety of his career and earning several designations across his tenure, including a CPCU, AMIM, Are, AU, and AIM. Prior to joining the insurance field, Alek spent 7 years working on merchant ships running between Indonesia and Japan and deep-sea tugboats towing container barges from New Jersey to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
