Greg Watson joined the CRC team in 2019 as President of CRC Group’s Charlotte, North Carolina office, where he’s responsible for leading and mentoring a strong team of producers as they provide top notch service to clients across the Carolinas.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from East Carolina University in 2009 before beginning his insurance career as an Underwriter with Burns & Wilcox, where Greg quickly made a name for himself thanks to a tireless work ethic and clear passion for building lasting business relationships. His willingness to tackle challenges has served Greg well as he advanced into roles of increasing responsibility. He took on the role of Underwriting Manager in 2015 before moving on to the Managing Director position in 2016. Committed to growing in expertise, Greg also completed the Kaufman International Leadership Training in 2016 before becoming Associate Vice President of Burns & Wilcox’s Charlotte office in 2018, where he oversaw the growth of the Charlotte, Morehead City, and Wilmington area to more than $70M in premium volume.

Greg is known for his dedication to world-class service as well as expertise in coastal property exposure, earning him recognition as a top producer in Burns & Wilcox’s Million Dollar Club, a spot in the Half-Million New Business Club in 2017, and recognized by Insurance Business America as a 2018 Young Gun. He truly enjoys working in partnership with clients and carriers as they navigate the constantly evolving insurance markets. Greg is also committed to mentoring commercial lines and personal lines producers, empowering them to grow in new ways while creating a dynamic team that exceeds customer expectations every time. Looking forward, Greg and the Charlotte team hope to keep growing and learning as they strive to achieve $100M in premium.

Greg lives in the Charlotte area where he enjoys working on his golf game and cheering on the Carolina Panthers.
