Chris Dellavecchia serves as Managing Director of TAPCO Underwriters in Chicago, Illinois, where he's responsible for identifying client needs, delivering responsive, high quality service, and creating a positive rapport with agents that drives new and repeat business.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University, graduating with Provost Honors and being inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma National Business Honor Society, before beginning his insurance career as a Commercial Underwriter for TAPCO's New York office in September 2014. His commitment to responsive service and ability to connect clients with the best possible products have earned Chris a reputation for exceptional customer care as well as the responsibility of opening and managing TAPCO's new Chicago office in May 2019. Focusing on Excess & Surplus lines, he truly enjoys forging relationships that help clients address a wide variety of diverse risks. Partners and colleagues appreciate Chris's dedication to teamwork, extensive product knowledge, and ability to communicate in ways that empower clients to make slid business decisions. Looking forward, Chris wants to continue to learn with the goal of obtaining his Associate in Underwriting (AU) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations in the near future.

Chris, his girlfriend Alyssa, and mini dachshund, Draco live in the Chicago area where they enjoy exploring the city and cooking. As a sports lover and former All-American Men's Lacrosse player, Chris also enjoys giving back to his local community by refereeing youth soccer games on the weekend.
