Sallie Howerton joined the CRC team in September 2021. She serves as an Inside Underwriter on Team Stumler for CRC Group’s Indianapolis, Indiana office, where she strives to grow CRC’s Commercial Binding business across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Sallie attended Indiana State University where she received degrees in Insurance/Risk Management and Business Administration. After college Sallie worked for 2 years at Arlington Roe & Company as a Commercial Binding Underwriter. While at Arlington Roe, she earned the Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation. Sallie then transitioned to an Independent agency at first working in Employee Benefits and Individual Healthcare before moving to the Property and Casualty lines of business. During her time at the agency, Sallie became a licensed producer for Life/Health and Property/Casualty insurance in Indiana. Having experience working in both the company and independent agency roles, Sallie has a unique perspective giving her agents outstanding customer service.

Sallie resides in Southern Indiana with their two young children. She enjoys having an active role in her children’s lives and recently took on the role of co-troop leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. While her children keep her busy most of the time, when she gets a chance, Sallie enjoys spending time outdoors and canning.
