Chris Hunter

Chris Hunter joined CRC Group in July 2021 as an Inside Broker with the Houston office, where he collaborates with agents and underwriters to service accounts in the trucking space.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Hardin-Simmons University before joining Brazos Specialty Risk Inc. as a Broker in 2019. During his time with Brazos, Chris was responsible for growing the APD & MTC book with available brokerage markets. Later in 2020, Chris joined Treaty Oak General Agency as an Underwriter, where he underwrote AL, APD, and MTC for small fleets with up to 10 power units in Texas & Oklahoma. During his tenure in the industry, Chris has also obtained Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Transportation Risk Specialist (TRS), and Associate in Insurance (AINS) designations. Known as a proactive communicator and reliable partner to teammates, retail agents, and underwriters, Chris truly enjoys finding ways to support the vital service that American trucking companies provide.

Chris, his wife Heather, and their young son, Owen, make their home in the Amarillo area. Outside the office, Chris enjoys triathlon training and playing soccer.
