Truitt Taylor is a Senior Professional Liability Broker with CRC Group’s Birmingham, Alabama office, where he specializes in difficult to place professional liability placements including E&O and Management Liability. He strives to stay on the cutting edge of industry offerings, while his highly skilled team works diligently to help place and service the most complex professional liability risks.
Truitt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management, Insurance, and Financial Planning from Mississippi State University in 2003, closely followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in 2004. As a 3rd generation insurance professional, Truitt was passionate about continuing his family’s legacy of relationship building and trustworthy service, and joined the CRC team in 2004. Committed to growing in expertise, Truitt also went on to earn his Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
His relentless work ethic and passion for excellence has earned Truitt recognition as the CRC Rookie of the Year in 2010 and a place as one of CRC’s Top Producers for 8 consecutive years as well as numerous Top Producer awards from insurance companies represented by CRC. While Truitt will keep giving 110% to the clients who depend on him, he also wants to continue growing as a husband and father, giving the best he has to offer to his family that makes all the rest worthwhile.
Truitt and his wife Shelley, have three children William, Mary Segrest, and Parker. Committed to giving back to their community, Truitt serves as President of the St. John’s Day School Board of Trustees and Vice President of the Laurel Main Street Association, a local economic development organization. He also invests in others as an Advisory Board Member for the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art and as a Board Member for the Hundred Club of Jones County, a local charity supporting law enforcement and first responders. Outside the office or board room, Truitt’s hobbies usually involve spending time with the kids. Depending on the season, he particularly enjoys coaching the St. John’s Flag Football and Basketball teams or attending the kids’ other sporting events.
