Dan Baughn is the President of CRC Group’s Charlotte, NC office as well as an Underwriting Team Leader for a team focusing on small to mid-size commercial accounts.
Dan has amassed more than 13 years of E&S industry experience and has been a key part of Team CRC since June 2020. Prior to joining CRC Group, he managed a small North Carolina wholesaler. Starting out with a smaller wholesale brokerage and gaining insight into all facets of the business provided Dan with a solid foundation to build on. Known as a collaborative leader, Dan genuinely enjoys leading a solution-focused team and nurturing thriving relationships with teammates, underwriters, and retail partners.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Risk Management & Insurance from Appalachian State University, in addition to CPCU, ASLI, and RPLU designations.
Dan, his wife Amanda, and their beloved dogs, Jake and Lou, make their home in the Greensboro, NC area. Beyond the world of insurance, Dan is an avid golfer and the two enjoy travelling to any locale with a good beach or golf course.
