Chip Wienges is a Senior Broker with CRC’S Healthcare Group.
Starting in the industry by working on the retail side of the healthcare professional liability sector for 6 years, Chip brings with him a firsthand knowledge of the pressures and needs of his agency partners. These insights have served him well for the past 26 years as a wholesale broker focusing exclusively on healthcare professional liability. Agents appreciate his obvious experience, which has led to deep relationships with markets and underwriters (some of which he has worked with for decades) that he can leverage on their behalf. With experience also comes the ability to set realistic expectations for his agents all the while advocating on their behalf and on behalf of their insureds. He is able to focus on the most pertinent details, remain levelheaded even working the most volatile of submissions, and calmly work towards positive resolutions.
Outside of work Chip can be found enjoying a day of skiing, a lifelong passion, or traversing snowshoeing paths with his trusty sidekicks, his dogs Cecilia and Curtis. Family trips with his wife of over 20 years Claudia and his three kids to attend music festivals, college football games, and explore new cities are some of his favorite pastimes when he isn’t in the mountains. Scott and Chip bring to their partnership over 35 years of combined experience as wholesale brokers specializing in healthcare professional liability. They have worked together for over 15 years and truly work as partners. Agents appreciate that while they may organically over time chose to primarily work with one or the other, Scott and Chip treat their work as collaborative and in that way every agent gets two brokers, two sets of eyes, and two toolboxes of skills on every account. They remain in daily near constant communication to maintain that level of collaboration. Their partnership means not only is their capable broker available in the case one is disposed, but also that they brainstorm together their accounts utilizing each other’s skills, experience, and outside perspective on most every account. It is rare to have two brokers that not only have this long of a partnership, but that also truly work as partners for their agents.
