Scott Scheiblin is a Broker with CRC’s Healthcare Group.

Scott takes great pride in being with CRC for over 18 years, and that he can lay claim to the increasingly rare story of having started in the mailroom and worked his way up. From the most entry level of entry level positions Scott has now been a broker with CRC for over 15 years. His focus is healthcare professional liability. Agents regularly comment on and appreciate his ability to be both detail oriented, zeroing in on granular details of submissions and policy forms, while simultaneously being able to keep his eye on the larger picture, essentially blending the micro and the macro. He brings an analytical approach to accounts, but can call upon his degree in English to effectively and simply communicate very complex and small details to agents. Underwriters also note his approach creates submissions that are thorough, well written, and ultimately make it easier upon them to grasp accounts quickly and in turn provide quick feedback.

Outside of work Scott can be found enjoying a hike in the north Georgia mountains, visiting native plant nurseries to supply him with more plants for his passion for native plant gardening, and attending seminars at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. All of these outside activities are a part of a patchwork of hobbies that come second to his main endeavor, spoiling his dog Libby and trying to coax her from sleeping all day to into actually taking a walk. Scott welcomes the opportunity to discuss any unique account that is causing you problems, a regular conversation he has with his agents, or to provide you with any tips on how to build a living moss terrarium.

Scott and Chip bring to their partnership over 35 years of combined experience as wholesale brokers specializing in healthcare professional liability. They have worked together for over 15 years and truly work as partners. Agents appreciate that while they may organically over time chose to primarily work with one or the other, Scott and Chip treat their work as collaborative and in that way every agent gets two brokers, two sets of eyes, and two toolboxes of skills on every account. They remain in daily near constant communication to maintain that level of collaboration. Their partnership means not only is their capable broker available in the case one is disposed, but also that they brainstorm together their accounts utilizing each other’s skills, experience, and outside perspective on most every account. It is rare to have two brokers that not only have this long of a partnership, but that also truly work as partners for their agents.

I've worked with Scott for over a decade and can say he is extremely knowledgeable about the Healthcare liability marketplace. As an underwriter, I know when I receive a submission from him that he has discussed with the agent, fully reviewed and is presenting a complete submission to make the process more efficient for all parties involved. He looks to create solutions for the insureds and his agents, by partnering with carriers to make sure coverage is appropriate for the insured to address their needs. He is able to place the small $3500 account with ease and efficiency to the very complex account that takes months to work through. Some of the most unique deals I've worked on in my 20+ year career have been his accounts.
