Brian began his career as a financial advisor with top broker-dealer firm, Hilliard Lyons (now Robert W. Baird & Co.), where he helped high-net-worth clients manage their retirement. In 2015, a friend offered him an opportunity at a Nashville retailer working on Property and Casualty and Financial Lines for large, middle-market companies in the Southeast. Just before the COVID pandemic in 2020, Brian transitioned to wholesale brokerage at CRC, where he joined his wife, Allyson Benda, as co-broker of a Professional lines team. Allyson is a Senior Vice President specializing in Management Liability and had been with CRC for 15 years when Brian joined the team. Brian's background as a financial advisor and his extensive knowledge of computers, networks, and technology led him to head up the Cyber Liability and Technology E&O practice for the team. He is a Cyber practice group leader for CRC and prides himself on being detail-oriented. He has a unique ability to analyze situations, make decisions, and solve problems in a positive and productive way.
Brian makes his home in Brentwood, TN, with his wife, Allyson. When not engaged in problem-solving for his clients, he pursues interests in sports card collecting, watching football and Formula 1 racing, refining his golf abilities, and embarking on international travel.
