Before joining Swett & Crawford in January 2010, Ed Antonucci spent 14 years as the Manager of the Professional/Management Liability Department at AmWins. When he originally joined AmWins (then Stewart Smith), he took over a book of business worth roughly $4.3M in total premiums. During his tenure, he grew that book of business to $33M.
Ed handles all types of Directors and Officers and Errors and Omissions Liability lines of coverage; but is noted for Public Directors and Officers Liability, Architects and Engineers Liability, Media Liability and Cyber Liability. He has worked on accounts of all sizes, including at least 20 fortune 1000 accounts.
Prior to working on the wholesale side of the business, Ed was an underwriter for American International Group (AIG). During his 10 years at AIG, Ed assumed a variety of roles, managing departments such as the Chicago Professional Department, an Initial Public Offering Directors and Officers Liability Underwriting Unit, the Midwest Underwriting Unit, and the St. Louis Professional Department.
Ed is widely known and well regarded within the Professional Liability/Directors and Officers Underwriting and brokerage community. Over the years, Ed has been actively involved in the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), previously serving on the Midwest Chapter Board and also, the Shots for Charity Board within the PLUS Foundation.
Although he left his hometown of Brooklyn, New York in 1988, he remains an avid New York Giants football fan. Ed also stats true to his hockey roots by continuing to play competitive men's league ice hockey and coaching his two sons travel hockey teams.
