ABOUT

Amanda Ruppel joined the CRC team in 2019 as President of CRC Group's Tampa, Florida office, where she's responsible for leading a high performing production team. She also serves as a member of the Florida Surplus Lines Legislative Committee, collaborating with other industry experts and regulatory leaders to guide the state's surplus lines industry.

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Pre-Law from the University of South Florida before beginning her insurance career on the retail side of the business in 2006. She obtained a Florida Property & Casualty License (2-20) as well as a Florida Surplus Lines License (1-20) and spent 7 years specializing in Florida multi-lines placement while also gaining valuable experience in commercial and personal lines production, agency management, marketing, and team development. In 2013, Amanda transitioned to the brokerage side, joining the Burns & Wilcox headquarters division in Farmington Hills, Michigan. After completing the Kaufman Advanced Management Program (KAMP), she was promoted and relocated to Tampa, Florida to take on the role of Associate Managing Director for the Tampa team before advancing to become Tampa's Managing Director in 2016. Constantly working to grow in expertise, Amanda went on to complete the Kaufman International Leadership Training at Lloyds of London, as well as the NAPSLO Surplus Lines Management Program at Emory University, and is currently pursuing designation as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM).

Amanda is known as an expert in Florida market conditions, specifically the high net worth personal lines space, and also brings strong product development experience to the table. She appreciates the fast pace and constantly evolving challenges presented by the insurance industry and enjoys building the kind of positive, collaborative relationships that help everyone win.

Amanda lives in the Tampa area where she enjoys volunteering with community organizations such as High Hopes in High Heels, where she serves on the Board of Directors. She has also served as a member of City of Hope's Tampa committee, an organization focused on uniting the local insurance community to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Outside the office, you'll office find Amanda working on her yoga practice or enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, including her beloved dog, Dude.
