Austin Hester

Austin Hester is an Underwriting Assistant with CRC Group’s Metairie, Louisiana office where he collaborates with retail agents and colleagues to service accounts while also writing business to help grow the team.

Austin earned a bachelor's degree in Risk Management & Insurance from the University of Louisiana-Monroe. He also holds a Property & Casualty insurance license in the State of Louisiana. Prior to joining CRC Group in December 2021, Austin worked for Galligan Insurance, a small independent agency in Monroe as an Independent Agent. Known for being a go-getter that takes the initiative to get the job done, Austin works well with both clients and colleagues, often going out of his way to help in any way he can. Having overcome adversity to make the most of the opportunities he’s earned throughout high school, college, and the early years of his career, Austin tries to never take a day for granted. He loves that his team feels like family and that there are always new opportunities to keep learning and adapting.

Outside the office, Austin enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Kateland, and rescue dog, Chewy. You’ll also find him playing video games with friends or cheering on the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers football teams.
