Jay Horoshak is a Professional Services Group Director with CRC Group, responsible for developing, managing, and growing a professional book of business by serving as a knowledgeable and collaborative liaison between insurance carriers and retail brokers. He enjoys the challenge of thinking outside the box to find solutions for difficult risks as he puts together the right programs for new and existing clients.
After earning a business degree from the University of Southern California in 2005, Jay founded Civil Media, Inc., a mobile content provider focused on developing and hosting social networking websites. He went on to join Chubb Specialty Insurance in July 2006 as an Underwriter in the Department of Financial Institutions, underwriting both professional and management liability products. Jay's business acumen and analysis skills were put into practice as he accurately evaluated financial risk and established appropriate coverage and premium amounts, always striving to meet the needs of clients within the parameters of wise business decision making. He made the transition to Swett & Crawford in 2007 as the fire hire into the Associate Broker Program, later becoming his own broker and eventually assuming the role of Director. Jay's technical ability to analyze financial statements to measure solvency, indemnity, and financial strength exposure along with his capability to build and leverage solid industry-wide relationships and knowledge to get the job done earned him recognition as CRC's 2017 Insurance Professional Broker of the Year.
Jay is known for being resourceful, responsive, and highly available, facilitating relationships with clients that often become friends.
Jay makes his home in the Los Angeles area, with his beloved dog, Brooklyn. As an active person you'll often find him outside enjoying a variety of outdoor sports like soccer and golf.
