ABOUT DIRK

Dirk has amassed more than 25 years of industry experience after joining Swett & Crawford in 1997 as an Office Clerk. As he gained insight and experience in the insurance industry, Dirk went on to work as an Underwriter for a program focused on coverage for high-value homeowners. He then joined the Professional Executive Practice Group in 2001 after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University at Long Beach. He is deeply proud of what LA ProElite has accomplished over the years. They started with a small team of 6 and have grown to a team of more than 50 that Dirk considers it a privilege to help train, mentor, and manage.

He is passionate about providing world-class customer service and creating products that he and his team can be proud of. Dirk loves the LA team dynamic and enjoys working with his CRC colleagues and external partners to overcome obstacles and build lasting relationships that grow over time. He can always be counted on to stay focused on the needs of the client and face challenges head on. Dirk is also known for meeting customers where they are and explaining complicated concepts so that they truly understand the value CRC offers. His attention to detail, organization, collaborative spirit, and deep industry knowledge have also been valuable as he works to mentor others. Dirk has conducted many continuing education classes for retailers, educating them in the areas of D&O, EPL, Cyber, and E&O.

Dirk lives in the Los Angeles area where you’ll often find him enjoying the outdoors. He spends his spare time backpacking, camping, and playing water polo. Dirk also enjoys traveling and restoring classic cars.

Dirk Vanderwall is a Director with CRC Group’s ProElite | SF Financial Svcs Team where he’s responsible for working collaboratively with brokers, carriers, and underwriters in the Los Angeles area to provide sound guidance and source high-quality professional lines coverage that benefits CRC clients.
