Phil Mazur is a passionate leader dedicated to helping his team and clients achieve success and grow their business.

Phil started his insurance career in Northern California with Industrial Indemnity as a property underwriter, then taking a position in San Francisco with Transatlantic Re as a facultative property reinsurance underwriter in 1980.  He then served as branch manager and property broker from 1984 – 2002 with Sherwood Insurance Services…an independent privately owned wholesale broker.  In 2002 with the merger of Sherwood with Swett & Crawford Phil served as executive vice president, sales leader and continued with his placement of property business.  In 2016 Swett & Crawford was acquired by CRC Group where he continues to serve as a senior leader within the company and Office President for the San Francisco office.

Phil was born and raised in Northern California, where he graduated with Bachelors of Science Degree majoring in Finance/Marketing from UC Berkeley School of Business.  Phil and his wife Linda currently reside in the East Bay area of the San Francisco, CA region with a menagerie of critters.  Their children have grown and moved on to develop successful lives of their own but are still very much a part of their life.  Phil and his wife still have time to support the Giants and A’s, as well as the Niners.
