Ben Zhou joined the CRC team in November 2019 as a Senior Team Leader for the commercial binding space. Working out of the Houston, Texas office, Ben will be responsible for building a profitable team and book of business. Along with working with his established local retailer relationships Ben will expand his focus beyond small and mid-market business and look to create new working partnerships with budding national retail aggregators and industry interest groups.

Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Business Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010 before beginning his insurance career with Nationwide as a direct personal lines sales agent. He transitioned to the commercial side of the business in 2015, when he joined Zurich Insurance Company as an assistant and associate underwriter on their Global Energy department. After obtaining his general lines P&C license, Ben joined Burns & Wilcox where he was an associate broker and later a lead broker/underwriter. Ben is passionate about empowering retailers to reach their next level of expertise and production with commercial E&S products. Providing industry and product knowledge nurtures positive, trustworthy relationships for Ben's clients and he plans to continue expanding his reach throughout Texas and the rest of the Southern States.

Ben currently lives in the Houston area where he invests in others by volunteering with the Houston Chinese Youth Camp. Outside the office, you'll find Ben outdoors where he enjoys overlanding with his truck, hiking, and camping. Anything else motorsports related or having to do with his favorite sports team, the Houston Texans, will quickly get his attention as well.
