ABOUT SAM

Sam Rector is a Casualty Broker in CRC Group’s National Construction Practice, based in Nashville, Tennessee. With over 11 years in the insurance industry and two years at CRC Group, Sam brings deep experience, market insight, and a client-first mindset to every placement.

Sam is most passionate about using his experience, effort, and technical knowledge to help retail partners add measurable value to their clients’ insurance programs. He specializes in General Liability and Excess coverage for construction risks, handling both practice and project-specific business across a wide range of exposures.

Sam graduated from Appalachian State University in 2015 with degrees in Risk Management & Insurance and Finance & Banking. His career began in the wholesale brokerage space, followed by seven years at a large retail brokerage before joining CRC Group, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both sides of the transaction and a strong appreciation for collaboration and execution.

Outside of work, Sam volunteers his time with several Nashville-based organizations focused on helping young people succeed, including the Teen Dream Center, Junior Achievement, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He has been married for one year and is the proud owner of a one-year-old Weimaraner.
