ABOUT MATT

Matt Vaughan joined the CRC team in November 2019 as a Team Leader with the Houston, Texas office where he's responsible for marketing new business and providing quick, reliable service that makes the most of his Houston-area market expertise.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arizona State University, originally considering a career as a pharmacist. However, he stumbled upon the insurance industry, and in 2015 Matt took on the role of Health Insurance Underwriter for a small group division of Memorial Hermann. He quickly made the jump to Property & Casualty and hasn't looked back. In 2016, Matt joined Burns & Wilcox as a Broker/Underwriter focused on assisting agents with commercial E&S insurance needs.

Matt enjoys building strong relationships and collaborating with industry connections to solve problems for agents, place difficult risks, and grow accounts. Agents and team members appreciate Matt's ability to communicate clearly and keep the process moving forward. He doesn't believe in wasting time and understands that constant communication with agents is key to establishing and maintaining the kind of professional relationships that help CRC and agency partners grow.

Matt, his fiance Kaylor, and their young child, live near Houston with their three beloved dogs, and you'll often find them spending time at area dog parks or exploring the local food scene.
