ABOUT JIM

Jim Epting joined the CRC team in March 2020 as Regional Director. Based in the Atlanta office, he calls on almost 30 years of industry experience to help Office Presidents across the region to succeed in maintaining and growing strong books of business.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia . He also hold Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) designations. Prior to joining CRC, Jim invested 23 years with Burns & Wilcox, building successful teams and managing binding authority offices along the East Coast. His unique ability to empower high performing teams, mentor young professionals, and help customers win have earned Jim numerous awards including Branch Manager of the Year, Office of the Year, and the prestigious HWK Award meant to honor Burns & Wilcox’s most valuable contributors.

Jim is known for building strong team relationships, working with integrity, and tackling industry challenges with a positive outlook. Looking ahead, Jim plans to put his expertise to work to grow the CRC Binding offices over the next several years.

Jim, his wife Meredith, and children, Eryn, Max, Lulu, and Emerson, live in the Atlanta area with their beloved dog, Oliver, and cat, Dasha. Outside the office, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, coaching Emerson’s soccer team, and working on his golf game.
