Steve Shepard joined the CRC team in July 2020 as a Senior Team Lead and Vice President with CRC Group’s Indianapolis, Indiana office where he’s responsible for underwriting transportation risks.

Steve’s insurance career began in 2009 when he joined Burns & Wilcox as an Assistant Underwriter.  He worked his way up during his time as Burns & Wilcox and ended up as the Transportation Underwriting Manager for his branch. Committed to providing world-class service and expertise to every client, Steve maintains an Indiana Property & Casualty license and has earned a Transportation Risk Specialist (TRS) designation from the Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation as well as an Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation from The Institutes. He’s truly passionate about finding solutions to meet unique client needs and is well known for deep industry and market knowledge. His commitment to providing greater value and service earned Steve a 2019 nomination and selection as one of Insurance Business America’s Top Specialty Brokers.
