ABOUT KATIE

Katie Gallagher joined the CRC team in April 2022 as an Underwriting Team Leader with CRC Group’s Charlotte, North Carolina office where she provides expertise around Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting and market placement.

While earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Organizational Communication from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Katie joined Burns & Wilcox as a Personal Lines Intern. After completing her internship in 2013, Katie continued to work part-time as a Personal Lines Underwriting Associate responsible for renewals before transitioning to join the commercial lines team as an Associate Underwriter in 2016. After gaining more than 2 years of commercial underwriting experience, Katie was promoted to the position of Commercial Underwriter in October 2018. She holds both a North Carolina Property & Casualty and a Surplus Lines License as well as a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. Known as a personable, detail-oriented partner capable of tackling tough challenges, Katie loves developing and nurturing genuine relationships with clients, carriers, and teammates while finding solutions for unique risks.

Katie, her husband Billy, and daughter Lillian make their home in North Carolina. Outside the office, you’ll often find Katie riding or showing Hunter horses. A family of animal lovers, they enjoy spending time caring for their 4-legged family members, including 2 horses, 3 dogs, and a cat. Sunny weekends will also find them out on their boat or soaking up time at the beach.
