Collin Gillaspie joined the CRC team in 2016. He currently serves as the Transportation Team Leader with CRC Group’s Dallas, Texas office, where he’s responsible for leading a high-performing team as they underwrite and place transportation accounts while providing unmatched expertise and service.
Collin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University before beginning his insurance career as a Claims Counselor with The Horace Mann Companies in 2011. While working full-time, he went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating in 2013. Collin transitioned to the wholesale side of the business when he joined Burns & Wilcox as a commercial lines Underwriting Assistant in 2013 and later joined CRC (formerly Swett & Crawford) as a frontline Transportation Underwriter in 2014.
Known for leading by example, Collin provides superior customer service and strives to stay current with industry trends and market changes. He truly enjoys collaborating with agents and team members to offer the best possible coverage solutions for every insured. Building on a consistent track record of success, Collin knows the feeling of winning on a complex placement can’t be beat. That drive to win and his relentless effort on behalf of agents and clients earned him recognition as CRC’s 2016 Underwriter of the Year. Collin never stops working to be a better broker and looks forward to helping pave the way for those who will come behind him. He’s a firm believer in empowering others to meet their goals because when one succeeds, the whole team wins.
While Collin is proud of the career he’s building, he’s most proud of the three little girls who call him, “Daddy.” They keep him focused on the most important things in life, and he can’t wait to see what the future holds for each one. Collin, his wife Lauren, and beloved daughters Brooklyn, Landyn, and Addisyn, call the Dallas area home. Outside the office you’ll often find Collin cheering the girls on from the sidelines of their sporting events or enjoying a day on the golf course.
