Farrah Schubmehl serves as an Office President for CRC Group. She is also an active Member of the Property Advisory Group for CRC. Her team takes great pride in partnering collaboratively with their agents and the insured to provide tailored insurance programs that provide each client with the best insurance solutions in the industry. Farrah and her team are uniquely focused on actively involving insurance carriers in renewal discussions with clients ensuring solid long-term partnerships.
Farrah joined the insurance industry in 1999, just after earning a double major in Economics and International Studies from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She began as a Property and Marine Underwriter with Chubb Group of Insurance in Charlotte, North Carolina and later relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where she quickly grew the Property and Marine book of business from $485,000 to $13.5M. In turn, she became the Property, Machinery and Marine Manager overseeing a book of Property and Marine business in the Southeast Region. After leaving Chubb, Farrah was given the opportunity to learn the casualty side of the insurance industry through several years of focusing closely on the transportation and construction insurance segments. In 2009, Farrah began working as an insurance agent with Willis Corporation, concentrating on large manufacturing risks in the automotive, garment, and consumer products industries. Then, in 2012, Farrah joined Swett & Crawford to help one of their largest casualty teams grow their property book of business.
Farrah is known for her tenacity in fighting for the best possible coverage for every client, every time. Her commitment to putting the customer first also means nurturing strong partnerships all year long. You'll find her investing the time to meet key agents, carriers, and insureds over the course of the policy term rather than treating the marketing and placement process as a once-a-year-item to check off a list. Her dedication to being a highly available, trustworthy resource has earned Farrah the respect and continued business of many clients that have stuck with her and her team, even as the market continues to evolve and change. Farrah is committed to empowering her team to grow its book of business through a partnership-based approach, helping CRC to expand in sustainable ways and earning her place as a long-term leader for CRC.
Farrah, and her husband Brian, children Waylon and Ella McCartney, and 3 dogs currently make their home in Brentwood, TN.
