ABOUT RICARDO

Ricardo (Ric) Carreras is a Broker at CRC Group specializing in wholesale property insurance placements. Originally from just outside Boston, he earned both a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance and an MBA with a concentration in finance from St. John’s University, where he graduated magna cum laude.

A dedicated student-athlete, he played NCAA Division I lacrosse and represented the Big East Conference on both the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Health and Safety Group. His rapid rise from intern to broker in just 18 months reflects his drive, analytical skill, and passion for the insurance industry.
Outside of work, Ric leads an active lifestyle filled with sports and community involvement. He enjoys surfing, basketball, and golf, and proudly serves as the designated hitter for his men’s softball team.

A committed mentor, he continues to coach youth and high school lacrosse, helping young athletes develop both skill and character. When he’s not on the field, in the office, or hitting dingers, Ric can be found spending time with his dog, Elvis, or taking on new challenges that combine competition, teamwork, and fun.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Our team has demonstrated double digit growth in the Property brokerage segment for the past 6 years. We pride ourselves in partnering with our agents to provide the insured with the best insurance solutions in the industry. We work closely with the insured and agent to tailor an insurance program that meets the clients' needs. We actively involve the insurance carriers in the renewal discussions with our clients to build solid long-term partnerships. We believe this is a much needed approach as the insurance market changes and many carriers exit certain industry segments.


Placing You First.


We take the time to meet our key agents and insureds over the course of the policy period and don't treat the marketing and placement process as a once a year approach. We promote the Team / Partnership approach in all we do throughout the course of the year. If we need to get on a plane and meet an insured, get involved with an inspection or connect with an underwriter in London, we do just that.
