ABOUT BRIAN

Brian Thornton is an Associate Broker with CRC Group, responsible for generating new business, working on renewal marketing, managing all things related to the pre-binding process.

Brian’s business aptitude was clear even as a teenager when he started Black Rock Bottoms, a boat bottom cleaning company with his best friend. They became certified CRCBA divers and built a client list of 40-50 boat owners in various harbors in Long Island Sound. The business was successful, and they continued to operate it until leaving to attend college.

Brian graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance in 2014. Prior to joining our team at the end of 2015, Brian worked as a general lines retail agent at Brown & Brown in Daytona Beach, Florida for two years. He’s passionate about fostering client relationships that turn into friendships and delivering innovative, high-quality products that meet client needs.

Clients and colleagues alike know Brian can be counted on to respond to any request, task, or project with professionalism and a sense of urgency that demonstrates his commitment to putting the client first, bringing better service, and adding greater value for those he serves.

Brian currently lives in New York City, but he grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut where he spent most summers sailing enjoying other water activities. He has always loved the beach and water sports, as well as taking ski trips to Vermont and Colorado. You’ll also find him cheering on the Knicks, Rangers, Yankees, and Giants throughout the year.
